William Sim is an artist/illustrator based in Singapore. He co-found a visual studio called “amphibios” . He has illustrated 10 books and among them are “Colouring the Lion City”, “Botanical Singapore” and “Out and About in Singapore”. He has showcased his artworks in numerous cities such as Hong Kong, Shanghai, Seoul and Taipei. He is also an avid sketcher and always seen carrying a palm size sketchbook. He likes tiny sketchbook as it would enable him to crop city scapes effectively and love to see how viewer interact closely with his sketches.
To produce 3 to 5 postcard size sketches comprising 10 details and 1 main view of Hwaseong Fortress. The above mentioned techniques is very suitable in executing the richness tones of stone slabs and the intricacy of details of the fortress.
